Geraldton wax in flower

This gorgeous pink/purple Geraldton wax (Chamelaucium uncinatum) caught my eye in the street at Cummins during footy/netball grand finals. While Spring is fleeting I’ve tried to capture the delicate flowers here so they can be enjoyed year round.

Sacred Kingfisher

I have a pair of kingfishers that visit me at Louth Bay. One day I noticed that the pair was actually a party of four ! Their young were mid instruction in hunting lessons and they all became my art muse. Perfect candidates to study and paint. Their blue feathers and sharp gaze give the perfect contrast to the crumbly, earthy red cliffs they often perched on.

Owl and the Quoll

The owl and the quoll (endangered Australian native cat) take an epic journey across the ocean to a new near-shore island home, off the coast of Eyre Peninsula. Their mission - to rewild the islands and bring balance back to the ecosystems that have lost their many native animal friends.
